IN THE NEWS
Yes, fellow campers,
JERRY SPRINGER was a Camp Skymount
counselor.
(That's
Jerry in the plaid shorts. Is that Tina -- a
counselor-- next to him? And Paula K,
that's you sitting up front More photos on
the 1960s page.)
Those who still have memory recall that
Jerry was at Skymount
during the summers of 1966 and 1967.
With his Liverpool inflection (embellished
just a bit? Well...even then he was a
showman!), Jerry played guitar
for many a sing-along -- "Henry the VIII"
and
"Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter"
were favorites.
(Note the Lodge in the background at left,
and the trampoline at right.)
NEW TRIVIA QUESTION
What year did Bunny
(drama counselor) mount the show South
Pacific?
What other musical productions at camp can
you name?
OLD TRIVIA QUESTION
Again for the '60s:
Campers needed to earn FIVE FEATHERS to get
entry into Wolf Lodge: for Cleanliness,
Sportsmanship, Friendship, Honesty...what
was the fifth? Answer -- COOPERATION.
